In 1921 two cousins, Pip and Faith, from the wealthy, beautiful set of socialite London retreat to a remote manor in south Cornwall to allow Pip a chance to "dry out" after a period of extreme over indulgence and bad behavior in London.

Accompanying them is their mutual cousin, Alex, a boor and a history scholar at Oxford and Alex's kindly, elderly and very mysterious history professor along with a collection of other rather odd gentlemen.

What unfolds on the Lizard Head peninsular in Cornwall over the next few days will either shatter or end the lives of those involved and confound law enforcement officers for decades to come.
